Step1:
Unscrew the waterproof connector a cord grip fixing.
Step2:
Thread the compression glands over the flex.
Step3:
Strip the outer sheath of the flexes.
Step4:
Corp the cores down to length.
Step5:
Strip 10-12mm of the insulation of the cores to expose the copper conductor.
Twist the copper strands together. Bend over the copper cores to provide better terminal contact.
Step6:
Thread the cover over the flex.
Step7:
Unscrew the terminal screws.
Step8:
Connect one of the Live cores to the terminal block
Step9:
Connect one of the Neutral cores to the terminal block
Step10:
Connect one of the Earth Cores to the terminal block
Step11:
Connect the remaining cores together in the terminal block in the same fashion as beforehand.
Step12:
Reassemble the connector and make sure everything is tight!
Step13:
Tighten the gland nuts by hand to start off with!
Step14:
If you need to tighten the connector using a pair of water pump pliers and an adjustable spanner to ensure that the connector is watertight!
Step15:
On final check over and you are done!
